La Fin Du Monde, only in French does the end of the world sound so good. This Belgian style ale brewed near Montreal at the Unibroue brewery, goes down so delicate and smooth yet is an explosive 9% ABV. It is a brewed by the ancient Belgian tripel fermentation process. During this process different yeasts are added 3 separate times, twice in the fermentation tanks and then in the bottle, producing a strong and complex beer. The beer is best enjoyed in a wide brim beer glass or a red wine glass and has an orange gold color when poured. The head pours thick and has a spicy fruity aroma. It goes down deceptively easy for it’s alcohol content. Next time I am in Quebec I will be definitely bringing back a couple of the mixed 12 packs from this brewery as opposed to the usual other assorted Canadian “beers”.

I had this for the first time when I visited Vancouver a while back.
I couldn’t get over how GOOD it is. I love that beer…
It got me interested in Belgian beers, which then led to a trip to Belgium.

This stuff is superior to anything else I have had in North America, it’s velvety mouthfeel and quaffability belie its strength (9% abv) making it great for priming the missus!!!!
