My wife and I stopped by Novare Res Bier Café for the first time this past weekend (I was in London when the place opened). It was a little quiet for 10:00 PM on a Saturday, but the beer was as good as promised. My Ola Dubh went down extra smooth (check out their draught list here), and I managed to snap the following pic of their tap lineup while there:
Our June meeting of the Maine Beer Writers’ Guild will be held at Novare Res. Russ over at Beer, Maine & Me is also planning an informal “support good beer” gathering for June 14th. Check this place out if you haven’t been already. And if you tried to find it and couldn’t, it’s down in the back of Four Canal Plaza. You can either go around the building and down the stairs by the Key Bank sign, or head down Exchange St. and take a right at the Key Bank sign. They had a small sidewalk placard on Exchange St. when we were down there.
